Sometimes, just having some answers provides our clients and their families some relief. All of our clients will undergo extensive assessment by our masters-level clinicians and be evaluated by one of our psychiatric practitioners. With this information clients will receive a specific diagnosis and an individualized treatment plan will be developed to set out a path for healing and recovery.

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a therapeutic approach that is particularly suited to treating mental health disorders. In short, clients learn to accept their full range of thoughts and emotions rather than trying to avoid, deny, or alter them. With this understanding, clients commit to making necessary changes in their behavior, regardless of what is occurring in their lives or how they feel about it. All our clinicians have additional training in ACT and our curriculum is built around this modality.
Detox
Detoxing is a term used to describe the very earliest stages of recovery when an individual has recently stopped using alcohol or drugs. During this acute phase, generally the first 3-7 days, a person’s body begins to adjust to the lack of substance use, often resulting in feelings of severe illness. While withdrawal symptoms involving opioids (heroin, fentanyl) can be managed in an outpatient setting, other substances such as alcohol and Xanax (benzodiazepines) may require stabilization at a specialized facility. Our compassionate medical staff will be there to support the start of your recovery.
Individual Therapy
Our individual therapy service begins with clients being assigned a master’s level therapist for the duration of their treatment. Clients will meet with their therapist in weekly sessions that are focused on therapeutic support for more challenging issues involving trauma, childhood events, shame/guilt.
Group Therapy
We believe that humans are capable of healing one another by receiving support from peers. This is the thinking behind our group therapy activities that are facilitated by a licensed therapist. Within the group setting, clients are able to address real-life issues and practice new skills in a safe, supportive environment.
Psychoeducation/Lifeskills
Having information and knowing how to apply it to daily life is essential to maintaining recovery. Coping skills, effective communication, brain functionality, and many other topics are presented each day by our qualified staff in education lectures. Our clients are given the opportunity to learn and discuss a variety of topics that can be applied to create lasting change.
Medication for Substance Use Disorder
Most medical disorders are treated with medication and substance use disorders are no different. Medication is just one of the important tools that are used to support recovery goals. There are a number of pharmacological options for addressing the cravings related to alcohol and opiates, including long-acting medication that only requires one dose each month. Our board-certified addictionologist and psychiatric nurse practitioner can prescribe medication based upon an individual client’s needs and make medication adjustments throughout the course of treatment.
Medication Management/ Psychiatric Services
Substance use is often not the only problem faced by our clients. Anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder, for example, commonly co-occur with substance use. When these types of psychiatric disorders are present they often exacerbate the problems associated with substance use. Our clients are evaluated by our psychiatric practitioners who can prescribe appropriate medications and make adjustments throughout the course of treatment. By treating the whole person, our clients have a better opportunity to maintain abstinence, improve mental health symptoms, and have a better life overall.
Family Sessions & Family Support Group
Clients whose families are engaged in the treatment process tend to have better outcomes. This is why facilitating sessions with parents, spouses, or other loved-ones is an important component of our treatment program. These sessions are facilitated by the client’s assigned therapist who will work with them throughout treatment. Additionally, we are pleased to offer a family support group to family members and other concerned-persons. This group is facilitated by director-level staff and is free of charge so any loved-one has a place to come ask questions, get support, and interact with peers who are experiencing a similar situation.
Brainspotting & EMDR
Brainspotting and EMDR are two specialized modalities that focus on reducing the symptomology around trauma, anxiety, and substance use. Utilizing these techniques requires additional training beyond the masters-level training and state licensing.
